National Day of Reflection

National Day of Reflection was introduced in the UK during the pandemic as a way to remember those who have died, support those who are grieving, and reflect on the importance of community and connection. It’s observed on 23 March each year and is supported by organisations like Marie Curie.

Cost-Neutral

• Share a simple message of reflection

• nvite tenants to join a collective moment of silence at midday.

• Provide a space for tenants to write messages of remembrance or gratitude.

Mid-Range

• Decorate reception with daffodils (symbol of remembrance and Marie Curie).

• Share information about bereavement support services and local charities.

Top-Range

• Collaborate with Marie Curie or another bereavement charity to host a fundraising event.

• Set up a temporary art/flower installation in the lobby where tenants can contribute notes or ribbons.
