People made

People are the most important part of our business which is why we strive to keep everyone happy and healthy both in and out of the office. We invest heavily in regional support to make sure that colleagues are guided and nurtured; we have confidential mental-health helpline. We run team events to help exchange ideas and build relationships with colleagues from different locations.

Supporting growth

We support our employees to reach their maximum potential; we run in-house training and actively encourage internal promotion into managerial roles – in fact, the majority or our management team have progressed from front-line positions. The career journey from starting out as a receptionist is often a very varied and interesting one. Within the company we have lifestyle, marketing, media, recruitment and HR managers who all started their LAH journey in a front of house position.

Supporting balance

We whole-heartedly support colleagues who are looking for part-time work; whether they be actors, writers or weekend-wedding-cake-bakers. We’re passionate about supporting parents returning to work, carers who need a flexible schedule and students looking to further their education. Because of this we will often run a job-share model on reception roles – two receptionists that split the week between them. There are many benefits to this – holiday cover being the obvious one. There’s a world of talented people out there for whom 5-days a week just does not work; we try our best to make our world work for them.

Supporting people

All of our on-site team members are based in a variety of unique and interesting buildings all across the UK. From large scale business parks to intimate and personable offices tucked away in the backstreets of London, no two buildings are the same which means on-site benefits are extremely varied. Our employees benefit from a number of building perks that range from a complementary onsite breakfast to free use of the gym. Free tea, coffee, fruit, gems at work, events, exercise classes, cycle to work schemes and roof top staff gardens are just a few of the benefits our team enjoy.

With LAH comes a great team of supportive people who will go above and beyond to help you settle in. I've never worked as a receptionist before but it was so easy to settle in as I knew there was always someone I could contact if needed. The hours suit my home life perfectly, giving me evenings with my family, time I didn't have when I worked in hospitality.
