World Rose Day
September 28
Rose Day is a time to honour the welfare of cancer patients. What exactly happens in bodies affected by cancer? Abnormal or damaged body cells start growing uncontrollably when the immune system is actually designed to eliminate them. Instead, they spread to other parts of the body, thus creating tumours. Initially, Rose Day was named after a 12 years old girl diagnosed with Askin’s Tumor, who spend the last months of her life writing to cancer patients to bring joy.
Cost-neutral:
- You could collaborate with local cancer support groups or charities to raise awareness and offer assistance to those in need.
- Encourage employees to wear rose-themed shirts, accessories, or incorporate pink into their outfits to show solidarity
