World Ovarian Cancer Day

World Ovarian Cancer Day is observed globally on 8 May each year. It’s dedicated to raising awareness of ovarian cancer, supporting those affected, and encouraging early detection. For FOH reps, this one is about awareness, education, and showing solidarity.

Cost-Neutral

• Share facts and symptom checklists on lobby screens, posters, or newsletters.

• Encourage tenants to wear teal (the awareness colour) to show solidarity.

• Provide links to ovarian cancer charities and resources.

Mid-Range

• Host an information table in reception with leaflets from charities.

• Offer small teal-coloured cupcakes, biscuits, or sweets to spark conversations.

• Invite tenants to write supportive messages for those affected.

Top-Range

• Invite a health professional or charity representative to give a short awareness talk

• Organise a teal-themed bake sale, raffle, or sponsored challenge in the building.
