Nest Box Week (14-21st)

National Nest Box Week is an annual event organized by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO). It aims to promote biodiversity and the conservation of small garden birds and wildlife by encouraging people to provide nesting opportunities.The week also raises awareness about the loss of natural nesting spaces due to factors like increased tidiness in gardens and modern buildings with fewer nooks and crannies. National Nest Box Week in 2026 will be from February 14th to 21st, which is a Saturday to Saturday. This week encourages people to put up nest boxes for birds to help address the shortage of natural nesting spaces.
