National Windrush Day

National Windrush Day is celebrated annually on June 22nd to commemorate the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush at Tilbury docks in 1948 and to honor the Windrush generation and their descendants. It’s a day to acknowledge their contributions to British society and celebrate the diversity they brought to the UK.
