National Geek Pride Day

Geek Pride Day is celebrated on 25 May each year. It originated in Spain in 2006 and has since grown globally as a fun day to celebrate geek culture, from sci-fi and fantasy to gaming, coding, comics, and technology. It’s a lighthearted, inclusive event that can spark creativity and community in the workplace.

• Geek Quiz: Share fun trivia (sci-fi, fantasy, comics, gaming, science facts) via newsletter or in reception

• Dress the Part: Invite tenants to wear something geeky (favourite fandom T-shirt, themed socks, badges).

• Geeky Snacks: Provide themed treats (space-themed cupcakes, superhero-inspired cookies).

• Photo Booth: Create a simple themed photo spot with geek props (glasses, comic-style speech bubbles, capes).

• Guest Speaker / Workshop: Host a talk on gaming, coding, comic art, or technology trends.

• Movie Screening: Show a geek culture classic (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Marvel) in a communal area.
