- Sabzeh – Sprouts or wheatgrass, symbolizing rebirth and growth.
- Samanu – A sweet, dense pudding made from wheat germ, symbolizing strength and power.
- Senjed – Dried oleaster fruit, symbolizing love and compassion.
- Seer – Garlic, symbolizing health and medicine.
- Seeb – Apples, symbolizing beauty and good health.
- Serkeh –Vinegar, symbolizing aging, wisdom, and patience.
- Sekkeh – coins representing prosperity.
- Goldfish – Symbolizing life and movement.
- Mirror – To reflect on the past year and hope for the future
Nowruz, which coincides with the spring equinox, has been celebrated for over 3,000 years in Iran and across the Persian-speaking world. The office event highlighted the company’s commitment to cultural diversity and inclusivity, allowing employees to connect through shared traditions.
Our front of house rep said; ‘I also brought in some Persian baked goods for tenants to try including pistachio cookies, chickpea biscuits and Persian dates. It was so incredibly lovely to share my culture with the building, and to see how many tenants were taking photos of the table and asking so many questions (and enjoying the cookies!) My most enjoyable event here so far!’
