Recently Sophie and I have been researching the history of our site, there isn’t too much online, but we have discovered that our site used to be called Oakhurst Manor, it was owned by a merchant banker with 10 children, some of his descendants still live in locally. His name was Charles Frederick Huth (1806 – 1895).  His company went on to become The Royal Bank of Scotland. The tree in the second photo still stands at the front of Oakhurst House! We have found Natural Springs in our gardens, and a Victorian bathing pool. The pictures are of Oakhurst now, and back in the 1930’s.
