On Friday 11th November Yana and the Front-of-House Team at The Capital organised for the Poppy Appeal – the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign to run within the building. RBL representatives had a wide range of Poppy products available from poppy memorabilia and wreaths to stationary and jewellery.
‘It was an absolute pleasure to have RBL representatives on site. By shopping at the Poppy Shop, The Capital occupants helped to provide vital services and support, from expert guidance and advice, to recovery and rehabilitation to serving and ex-serving Armed Forces personnel and their families. Both RBL representatives had their military service medals displayed as well, which we thought, was a very nice touch indeed’.
This day The Capital stood together to pay respect and remember. A wreath-laying ceremony took place down at Atrium Reception followed by the two-minute silence, marking the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The Capital occupants were asked to pause, breathe and reflect on the service and sacrifices the armed forces make on our behalf.
