On Thursday 22nd September Sarah at The Park, MK, hosted a successful site-wide event. They has a Penalty Shoot Out competition, with the goalie being one of our agent reps. In the summer they ran a Customers Vs. Landlord football match, and so this followed on the theme of ‘beat the landlord’ as that seemed to spark people’s enthusiasm to give it a go.
Tenants were invited to try to score a goal against James, from Bray Fox Smith, an avid West Ham supporter. It was best out of 5, but most managed only 1 or 2. Everyone was treated to lunch by Chilli Dogs, serving gourmet hotdogs from their converted solar-powered truck. Up steps Josh to the penalty spot, unassuming and post-hotdog. He quickly smashed 4 goals into the back of the net and was swiftly announced to be the winner! He was delighted with his replica World Cup trophy, and everyone agreed to give it another go next year when he’ll pass the trophy onto the 2023 winner.
Boeing also sold cupcakes for charity, to raise funds for the Prince’s Trust, so there was pudding on hand for those making a donation too. Everyone who attended the event thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the break away from their desks, plus the opportunity to socialise with tenants from other companies.
